Matcha Izu
Izu matcha comes from the Izu region, Yokohama Prefecture, Japan. Made from Gyokuro leaves, it is grown at an elevation of 500 to 1,500 feet.
The full-tasting liquor has a slightly astringent finish. Ideal for baking pastries, making dressings. It can be mixed with pepper to season salads, soups.
You can also make an excellent matcha latte, very nutritious.
