Oxidized 40% - Coming from Luku, in the Nantou region of Taiwan, this wulong is a special tea.
It was started in 2000 by a group of young farmers. Following a big earthquake, these producers, busy rebuilding, had to neglect their plantations and the tea leafhopper, a leaf-sucking insect, took the opportunity to attack the crop. To produce Oriental Beauty (Bai Hao) wulong, insects are allowed to gently prick the leaves.
Lightly roasted to bring out the smell of honey and make it softer. The floral notes of Ding Ding are combined with the woody notes of Bai Hao.
The rolled leaves give an orange liquor, clear, medium bodied and sweet (honey) with notes of dried fruits.
A unique liquor and a refreshing length on the palate.
