Feng Huang Dan Cong
45% oxidized. From plantations on the slopes of the Feng Huang (Phoenix) Mountains located in the far east of Guangdong Province, China. Fine picking is done in May on cold, sunny days.
The long mature leaves, oxidized at 45%, are rolled loosely into large twisted needles, almost black, and infuse a sweet, round liquor with floral notes and an aftertaste of exotic fruit (lychee). A slight bitterness allows for a refreshing, silky and sweet length.
