Oxidized 15%. Tea from Song Po Ling Village, Nantou, Taiwan. A specialty of the island, it is produced by Mr. Lee and picked at the end of April. Bao Zhong is known for its floral and fresh aroma. Slightly oxidized tea (10 to 20% maximum) it has the characteristics of a wulong and a green tea, moreover often confused with the latter.
The long whole leaves, rolled into twisted pearls, of a beautiful green, with a floral and sweet aroma, provide a fresh, clear, pale yellow liqueur, delicate with flowery notes of lilac flowers. Bao Zhong combines greenness and sweetness with a slightly sweet aftertaste. Ideal for taming wulong.
