From one of the first gardens established by the English in the mid nineteenth century, Ambootia, an organic and fair trade producer, offers this summer harvest (second flush). 

Ambootia is located at an altitude of 950 to 1450 meters, near the city of Kurseong. Nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas this garden meets all the requirements to make this gem truly one of the great Darjeelings.

This summer harvest gives full fine leaves of brown and green and many golden buds delivering a balanced  and complex cup.

Posessing characteristic finesse, with a round body, it  surrenders notes of dried fruit while remaining long in the mouth only to finish with a hint of licorice.
