Huo Shan Huang Ya
Huo Shan Huang Ya is a yellow tea from the Anhui province of China.
It is harvested in the spring, before the arrival of the rainy season. Rare, delicious and refined, this tea sits between a soft green tea and a white tea. The process is similar to the one used for green teas. However, due to the fact that the tea is briefly covered during the wilthering process, some minimal oxydation occurs. This additional step adds mellowness and sweetness to the liquor. The yellowish liquor is refreshing. Hints of hazelnuts and sweet corn are typical. Floral notes as well.
